The disease cripples by pulling the plug on our energy, and it puts our caregivers at a disadvantage. The first recommendation I have for you is to exercise yourself and act as an example. Then you can ask for her to join you. Secondly, there comes a time when all you can do is to listen, provide support, and go on with your own life. It takes time for the one who is ill to hit bottom and realize that they are the only one who can take charge of their life. This is called boundary-setting and is critical for your own health. You will be there for her when she calls out. Thirdly, pray. Send out loving thoughts to her. It will help you to feel like you are doing something, and it has actually been researched that the energy of of love affects outcomes positively. Good luck, and keep us posted!
